About this Speaker
Katherine Sutton is a social entrepreneur with an interest in poverty alleviation. Working in Nuquí, Chocó for the past 12 years, Katherine helps local leaders develop their ideas into opportunities by bringing together communities, government entities and nongovernmental organizations. Currently President of the Chocó Surf League, she believes that selfless service positively impacts vulnerable populations and changes lives.
 

 

Abstract
Developing your purpose in life is your contribution to building a better tomorrow for all of us. By finding her purpose in service to others, Katherine discovered that surfing is shaping a future for a coastal community lacking minimum resources necessary for long-term well-being.
